Guarin set for new Inter deal

Looks like Guarin will be staying with Inter this summer

One-time Chelsea target Fredy Guarin could be about to sign a new deal with Inter Milan. The Colombia international was linked with interest from Chelsea in January but Inter’s £20million price tag put them off.

Guarin was then linked with interest from Juventus in a deal that would have seen striker Mirko Vucinic plus a sum of money head to Inter with Guarin heading the other way. That deal was pulled after Inter fans objected while interest from Tottenham during last summer failed to rears its head in January.

Guarin is back at Inter and the word from Italy is that he will sign a new deal with the Serie A side that will keep him at the San Siro until 2017. The deal is expected to be signed in late-February or early-March and will see Guarin pick up around 3million euro after tax – that’s the equivalent of £50,000 a week NETT or almost £100,000 a week gross. A bonus structure could add as much as 200-300,000 euro a year on top of that.
