Mesut Ozil has issued a warning to Bayern Munich – Arsenal’s superheroes are coming to get you!
The German international knows the Gunners have it all to do against Europe’s finest club side in the Champions League last-16 first leg at the Emirates tomorrow night.
However, Ozil is clearly in positive mood and posted a quirky rallying call to his Gunners team-mates on his Facebook page last night.
Alongside an image of himself, Lukas Podolski and Bacary Sagna dressed up for the Arsenal Christmas party, he wrote: ‘On Wednesday evening we’re competing against the official best team in the world. The good news: Hulk, Superman and Rambo are on our side. #ucl #coyg’. We're gonna be honest and say that Podolski looks completely laughable in his impersonation of the Hulk, while Sagna just looks like a Niger-Delta militant.
Whether even that trio of superheroes have the firepower to overcome Pep Guardiola’s unstoppable Munich machine remains to be seen, although we seriously doubt it.
