Schurrle may leave Chelsea in the summer

Chelsea could be ready to sell German winger Andre Schurrle after just one season with the club. The 23 year old only arrived at Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, but has not made a significant impact on the club's first team since joining. Despite being one of the Bundesliga's most dangerous attacking players last season, Schurrle has managed just three goals in all competitions for Chelsea, and has struggled to make regular appearances for the team.

With Jose Mourinho preferring the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian, and signing Mohamed Salah from Basel in January, Schurrle's future at the club is now in some doubt. "He's struggled to make the impact we'd hoped, it's true", a club insider said. "Mourinho's not one to shy away from getting rid of players quickly, and given that he's not included him in the team that much, it wouldn't surprise me if he was sold."
